AveSui EuroTier South America 2019 coincides with a cycle of billions in investments into livestock production and logistic infrastructure in the South of Brazil. The region, already the largest producer of animal protein per square meter on the planet, will thus, have vast new stimulus to meet the global demand for food.

In western Paraná alone, official announcements from cooperatives, private companies, state and public authorities and banks foresee more than R$ 2.5 billion in investments for expansions and new agricultural and manufacturing units, as well as for bridges, improvements to airports and roads in the region.

All investments start in 2019 and aim to meet the consistent increase in animal protein consumption around the world, especially in Asia, Latin America, Africa and Europe over the next 30 years.

As for the increase in production, for examples: C. Vale foresees R$ 300 million in investment into cuts and processed poultry and pork; Copacol foresees R$ 50 million into poultry and fish slaughter; Piracanjuba forecasts R$ 80 million into milk and milk products.

Access to resources will also come from other sources such as BRDE (Banco Regional de Desenvolvimento Econômico), which plans to provide more than R$ 1 billion to producers this year, and Cresol which has specific credit lines for agribusiness.

The Itaipu Consortium, meanwhile, will dedicate US$ 250 million (approximately R$ 1 billion) this year to build a new international bridge between Brazil and Paraguay. They also plan to improve and expand airport structures and roadways of the region.

As if that were not enough, the Agricultural and Livestock Plan (PAP) of the Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (MAPA) has made available R$ 217 billion for this harvest, of which only 55% has already been contracted throughout the country for production activities, marketing and structure.

In this way, AveSui EuroTier South America plays a strategic role and consolidates this new development cycle by presenting the best technical solutions in management, genetics, environment management and sanitary conditions in the poultry, pig, dairy and fish farming sectors.

This year’s AveSui EuroTier South America event will take place just 30 minutes from Foz do Iguaçu in Medianeira, Paraná state between July 23rd and 25th. This year’s event brings together the expertise of the main trade show in Brazil – AveSui, and the largest meeting in innovation for the livestock sector on the planet – EuroTier, which is organized every two years by DLG (German Agricultural Society) in Hanover, Germany.
