For José Roberto Ricken the fair stands out as an important channel for the dissemination of information and trends
Ocepar President confirms presence at AveSui 2018

Responsible for 35% of the total number of chickens shipped in the country, Paraná has become the largest producer and exporter of this protein, with revenues that have been recording successive records in recent years. The state has the largest cooperatives in the country, which account for 37.7% of the installed capacity for the slaughter of broilers. These figures give the content of the change from AveSui Latin America 2018 to the city of Medianeira, in the Center-West of Paraná. The event comes with strength to show the potential of the Brazilian poultry sector, so it counts on the important partnership of the President of the Organization of Cooperatives of Paraná (Ocepar), Mr. José Roberto Ricken.
With 17 years of history, AveSui has been an event of debate and promotion of the sector. For the president, the fair stands out as a channel for the dissemination of information and trends, both for poultry farming and for Brazilian pig farming. “It is a meeting point for companies to exchange knowledge and experiences, be it in the stands of the fair, in the lectures and technical events,” said the president.
In addition to recognition, Ricken emphasizes the importance of moving the fair to Medianeira. “Every change is important, even more so for an event as traditional and expected by the industry as AveSui. And the fact that the fair takes place in the main region producing poultry and swines from Paraná, the city of Medianeira, at the headquarters of the Lar cooperative, will join forces with the main producer and exporter of poultry in Brazil that is Paraná”, he said.

About the Who’s Who Award, Ricken also said in a note, that the honor represents the recognition of the work and dedication of the state’s cooperatives, as well as its leaders and members. “Certainly a way to strengthen the productive sector and the cooperative,” he points out.
