The Central Cooperative Aurora confirmed Neivor Canton as president, in a decision taken by the affiliated cooperatives, this Tuesday (17th). Canton was vice president of the company and was in charge temporarily after the death of the president, Mário Lanznaster, on October 18. Aurora’s Board of Directors is also composed of the new vice-president, Marcos Antônio Zordan, and Romeo Bet, secretary. Other advisors are Luiz Carlos Chiocca, Cláudio Post, Élio Casarin and Sérgio Marcon.
According to the cooperative’s statement, the Board of Directors will fulfill its mandate in the 2020/2022 biennium. “The leaders renew their commitment to preserve and improve the sustainability of one of the largest agro-industrial conglomerates in the country, whose mission is to protect and value the producer, with the main effect of increasing the quality of life of the rural family”, says Aurora, in a note.
The Board of Directors points out that there will be no changes in direction in Aurora’s trajectory, which will continue to faithfully comply with the guidelines of its strategic planning, transforming the raw material of the more than 66,000 producers associated with the 11 affiliated cooperatives to produce top quality food for the Brazil and the World.
