Embrapa Suínos e Aves presents the female MO25C during FIPPPA 2015

Stage of innovative launches involving the entire chain of animal production, the International Trade Fair for Production and Procesing of Animal Protein (FIPPPA) – held in Curitiba, Paraná, Brazil on April 28,29 and 30 – may receive an unexpected visitor: The female pig “Embrapa MO25C”. Developed by Embrapa Suínos e Aves, the MO25C was designed to be versatile, with good production of piglets, and transmit better quality meat pigs for slaughter. Inserted into the Model Farm of Poultry and Swine, inside FIPPPA, the animal should attract the attention of many visitors who are gracing the event. “The production of pig genetic material in Brazil is concentrated in large companies in the sector, hindering the access of small farmers to genetic quality with affordable prices. Then, Embrapa decided to implement this project to launch a female line that could be used with our male line, MS115, to produce meat with quality”, says the researcher Elsio Figueiredo, who led the development of MO25C.

Successful Partnership
Embrapa Suínos e Aves and Gessulli Agribusiness, organizer of FIPPPA 2015, expand and solidify their relationship year after year in the organization and promotion of events. This year, the partnership is reaffirmed not only with the presentation of pig female “Embrapa MO25C” in the Model Farm, but also with the presence of the national entity at a booth inside the FIPPPA and the  coordination of one Panel inside the Seminário Técnico Cientifico de Aves e Suínos [Poultry and Swine Technical Cientific Seminar].

About the Model Farm
New technologies and discussions about the quality of animal welfare will be presented through the Model Farm of Poultry and Swine, inserted in FIPPPA 2015. This is an exclusive showroom where visitors will have the opportunity to discuss the main points involving creation and production of poultry and swine, and stay in touch with the latest innovations developed and presented by renowned professionals and companies in these sectors. It is the special space to people interested in invest in these chains and have their doubts solved. Structures for sheds, drinkers, feeders, exhaust, maintenance and ambience, isothermal walls and tiles, heaters, foggers, stalls, floors, etc., will be exposed in a shed with a controlled environment, exceptionally fitted for showcasing news related the various stages of poultry and swine production.
