Brazilian and Latin American pig farmers will have the opportunity to update themselves on developments and strategic technical advances at the Workshop on Artificial Insemination during AveSui Eurotier South America 2019.
As part of the scientific program of the event, the Workshop will address topics such as Hyperproliferation Matrices, Brazilian Overview in Artificial Insemination and Complementary Biotechnologies, among others, with researchers recognized in Brazil and abroad.
The panel is organized by the Doctor in Animal Reproduction of the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (EMBRAPA), Mariana Groke, and will also have specialists César Augusto Garbossa (USP), Pedro Nacib Neto (IMV Technologies) and Carlos Cabral Viana (PUC).
“The theme of Artificial Insemination and related biotechnologies is of great importance to producers because their mastery and applications in a correct way maximizes the main benefits linked to the process”, introduces Mariana.
The EMBRAPA specialist explains that, among many other features, the event will focus on optimizing the use of breeding males, propagation of genetic gain, production of more homogeneous piglets, semen quality, and techniques for lower risk of animal traumas.
“In order to develop the potential of artificial insemination in pig breeding, it is of the utmost importance to have qualification, training and updating to carry out the procedures”, added Mariana Groke, coordinator of the workshop.
Among the technical and scientific themes this year, AveSui Eurotier will also have panels on Biosafety, Meat Processing, livestock Breeding, Development and Sustainability of the Protein Market, Biomass & Bioenergy, Welfare in Egg Production, Fish Farming, and the IV Congress of Zootechny of Precision.
