Feed mill equipment increases feed conversion by 2 to 3%

TMSA presents its new Expander model with a capacity of 60 tons per hour. According to the Business Manager, Marcelo Joaquim, the equipment used in the feed manufacturing process increases the feed conversion of poultry and pigs by between 2 and 3% and the production capacity of pelletizers between 15 and 30%. “The expander technology is one of the best and most extensive methods of conditioning compound feeds and individual components”, explains Joaquim.

The annular opening expander has a thick-walled mixing tube with replaceable wear devices and a cantilevered shaft, which has dosing elements, mixers and kneaders that provide better pellet quality and higher pelletizing press performance. “Expanded mixtures increase the performance of the pelletizing press. It is possible to control the density of the pellets by adjusting the parameters ”says the manager

Technology available to the producer

TMSA will present the Expander during AveSui 2021, where producers can get to know and have access to this equipment. “In addition to the equipment of our German representative, TMSA will take its range of products to the agro line, such as grain pre-cleaning machines, sensors from the American 4B and grain dryers from our partner Mega”, says Joaquim.

The manager explains that participating in AveSui was a strategic decision of the company. “The increase in global demand for animal protein, the resumption of investments by our customers and the improvement of the Brazilian economy, although small, were the determining factors for our participation in the 2021 edition.”
