Quem é Quem

Who Is Who Award: Big and Best  Brazilian Cooperatives of Poultry and Swine  will be held on April 13, during the opening cerimony of AveSui Latina America 2021, which takes place in Medianeira (PR) Brazil. This will be the fifth edition of the event, which recognizes the work of cooperatives and their impacts on the economic and social sphere.  Who is Who is sponsored by De Heus for the second year and supported by  the Organization of Brazilian Cooperatives (OCB). In this edition, the award recognizes the work of cooperatives in 11 categories:

Best Cooperative (poultry and pigs), Best Technical/Technical Assistance, Innovation, Operational Management, Cooperative Woman, Retail, in addition to the  Economic and Financial Performance, Environmental Responsibility, Social Responsibility, Sustainable Development and Biomass & Bioenergy.   Who is Who Award is created by the magazines Avicultura Industrial e Suinocultura Industrial, publications of Gessulli Agribusiness, a publisher that has been working in Brazilian agribusiness for more than 110 years

 

Categories

ECONOMIC-FINANCIAL – categories seeks to evaluate the economic and managerial performance of the participating cooperatives. With their economic growth, cooperatives bring income to their cooperativemembers, moving the entire economy of a region. 

SOCIAL – The category evaluates the economic social impact on the lives of producers, as well as the adoption of management practices aimed at current social demands, highlighting the return to the cooperative of so-called “leftovers”.

ENVIRONMENTAL – The objective is to measure compliance with legal preservation requirements, identifying actions and measures implemented by cooperatives to minimize possible impacts caused by the production process. 

SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT – The concept of sustainability involves a tripod formed by the economic, environmental and social areas. This category is the result of an average of the indexes obtained by the cooperatives in these three spheres evaluated by the award.

TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE – The field technician is fundamental for the dissemination of knowledge and technologies aiming at productivity gains. The category seeks to recognize the effort of this professional through its technical results, training and efficiency in the function. 

BEST COOPERATED – Poultry and Swine  The dedication, engagement and search for new productive levels is what is intended to be recognized in this category, especially from the evaluation of the zootechnical indexes of the cooperative members.

INNOVATION – Recognizing initiatives of innovative projects implemented by cooperatives that resulted in the improvement of one or more stages of their production, with positive impact for the cooperative members, is the objective of this category. 

OPERATIONAL MANAGEMENT – This category aims to highlight the role of professionals who work in the role of manager, evaluating their performance in managing production processes and people, as well as the field results until the arrival of animals in the refrigerator.

WOMAN AT COOPERATIVE – Pillar of support of the family in the field, the woman plays the role of mother, housewife and help in the work routine, keeping firm the family union. The goal is to recognize this dedication and engagement, emphasizing the social role of women.

RETAIL – The objective of this category is to highlight the commercial and marketing initiatives of retail cooperatives aiming not only to leverage the sales of their products, but also to highlight their quality with the consumer.

BIOMASS & BIOENERGIA – This new category aims to highlight actions and projects related to the use of biomass and/or bioenergy generation, thus reducing possible environmental impacts and bringing greater economic viability to the properties of the cooperative members.
