Panel discusses the development and sustainability of the Protein Market

Analyzing the factors by which markets have been working, as well as tracing drivers, seeking to understand future scenarios, are fundamental for agents working in a dynamic sector such as meat. Therefore, the XVII Scientific Technical Seminar will bring the panel dedicated to the Development and Sustainability of the Protein Market, under the coordination of Dr. Thiago Bernardino de Carvalho, Researcher of the Center for Advanced Studies in Applied Economics (Cepea / ESALQ / USP). “These are the foundations that make the market panel fundamental in the Fair, as well as bringing together leaders and decision makers from various sectors along the production chain”, explains the coordinator.

The Panel, which will be held on 24 July, will feature four lectures that will deal with retail marketers, sustainable production and the chain’s challenges, according to Carvalho. “The market panel will address the challenges and opportunities of the meat industry along the chain, with topics such as the role of the input industry, the management of the cold store operation, wholesale and retail, and the end consumer, represented by restaurants . The panel will address the need to produce sustainable meat in the economic, environmental and social spheres for all consumers along the chain” adds Carvalho.

Carvalho says he expects to help industry players in decision making. “The expectation is that the panel will bring to the discussion important issues in the decision making of companies and agents of the sector and can generate a positive discussion with the look at where the meat market is going, bringing solutions to the whole chain.” Ends.
