Precision Livestock Farming assists producer to conduct better profit animal welfare

Precision Livestock Farming technologies contribute to improving productivity, especially avoiding the losses process. The real-time monitoring facilitates the conduct of various actions that add value to production, such as the practice of animal welfare and economic efficiency. The subject will be widely discussed during the III Livestock Precision Farming Congress, which will take place on August 1st, during AveSui 2018 in Medianeira, Paraná.

With the coordination of professors Dr. Ibiara de Almeida Paz (Unesp) and Dr. Fabiana Ribeiro Caldara (UFGD), the congress aims to disseminate new knowledge, cutting-edge research and discuss the advances made by the use of Precision Livestock Farming technologies. Facilitating actions that add better ambience, animal welfare and economic efficiency”, explains Ibiara. “The Livestock Precision Farming Congress aims to disseminate these technologies to all segments of the most varied animal protein production chains,” Fabiana adds.

In its third edition, the III Livestock Precision Farming Congress will bring together renowned national and international speakers, generating a great interest of companies, industry entities and students. “The idea is to diversify information about Livestock Farming, so that the public can exchange knowledge with professionals from various fields such as poultry, swine, aquaculture, cattle and buildings. The event will provide debates between the areas in which Precision Livestock Farming is already disseminated and areas where it is still practical”, says Ibiara Paz.

Precision Livestock in fish farming

The III Livestock Precision Farming Congress this year will once again be innovative, this year bringing relevant information on various production chains. In addition to poultry and swine, the lectures on automation of “Feeders for fish: challenges” are already confirmed, with Prof. Claudio Angelo Agostinho (FMVZ – UNESP); “Adequacy of precision technologies to the reality of the producer”, with Profa. Dr. Leda Gobbo Freitas Bueno (FCAT – UNESP); “Precision Livestock Farming: Research versus Applicability”, with Profa. Associate Fabiana Ribeiro Caldara (FCA – UFGD).
